KUALA LUMPUR: A couple had a scare of their life when a steel beam from a Light Rail Transit (LRT) construction site fell on their Honda Civic near the Federal highway.
In the 9am incident, around 88 steel beams were lifted to the construction site, when one of it fell on the car.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Azmi Abu Kassim said initial investigation showed that during the transportation, several beams fell on the ground
Azmi added as soon as the beam landed on the Honda Civic, another car, a Nissan Vanette crashed into the couple’s car.
He said the couple were rushed to Subang Jaya Medical Centre for outpatient treatment.
